SightRun, one of the five winners of the Startup Factory Zagreb pilot cycle, is on a mission to bring joy to runners' hearts. Its latest collaboration with Opatija Tourist Board resulted in a new SightRun App running tour for the city with the most longstanding tradition of hospitality in Croatia.
New partners in running and promoting Croatian wonders will join forces at the European Cities Marketing conference and present ways in which innovative digital solutions can be applied to create novel tourism products.
“Opatija has had a long successful tradition so it is important for us to stay ahead of the curve and implement innovative solutions that will be helpful to our guests. We found SightRun interesting from the very beginning and so we are glad to have found a way to work together. I’m especially delighted about this opportunity to present a Croatian startup in Reykjavik, and by doing so take part in the global innovation trend that is being implemented by tourism organizations”, said Goran Pavlović of Opatija Tourism Board.
European Cities Marketing is a European association of tourist boards, convention bureaus and organizations specialized in promoting cities’ tourism markets. This year’s gathering, titled Hack the City, will take place in Iceland’s capital, February 21-24, and gather more than 200 delegates from 60 European cities. The event aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practices, and bring forth fresh business opportunities for tourism marketing via innovation.
SightRun App’s co-founder Tamara Mrkotić and Opatija Tourist Board’s Goran Pavlović will be talking about running as an activity around which compelling products can be created and released.
